I didn't get a chance to post last night but, yesterday was an amazing day! We were able to visit with my cousin Cindy and her family her were visiting from Queensland. I haven't seen Cindy since I was about 11 or 12. She moved to Australia when I was young so we never really had the opportunity to get to know each other well but it was so great to be able to reconnect again as adults and meet each others kids.
We planned to visit Werribee Zoo which is on the out skirts on Melbourne. It is a different kind of zoo in that the animals are't in cages. We were a bit disappointed that we couldn't get a very good view of all the animals while we were walking around. That however was all made up for when we hopped on to the 'safari bus'. The bus took us on a 40min ride into the big open enclosure that the animals roam in. Some of the animals, like the zebra were so close that if you were allowed to put your hands out of the bus you could touch them. It was really cool to be able to see them so close.
