Today we started our General Conference weekend. The first session was almost a write off. The kids decided they couldn't possibly be quiet. So we watched while playing Spiderman on the floor. The second session we were able to watch peacefully since Lili was having a nap and Auron went down to our room to watch a movie but fell asleep pretty soon after.
I loved the messages that were shared. It's kind of like when you start a new year at school and you are all excited to start new and be amazing at doing all your homework etc. I feel like that after General Conference. Hopefully I can put some of the things I heard into practice.
Today's main 'theme' I guess was about how we should not be ashamed of what we believe and stand for. Just because the world is changing doesn't mean that God is changing. I liked that. While we stand strong for what we believe it is also important to do so respectfully. Just because we do not agree with certain practices or trends does not mean we have to be rude and nasty about it.
Ok well this video clip has nothing to do with what I was just talking about but I saw it a few days ago and it made me cry. I loved it.
